The other kids are from South Korea and the Caribbean. I particularly wanted to include a blog from someone that posts regularly but has older children.
- Life with these Children of Mine- I love this well written, frequently updated blog by a mom of two boys adopted from Russia. In 2012, one son is a toddler and one just began school; both boys were adopted as babies.

- Taiwan Adoptions- If you are interested in adopting from Taiwan, this is the blog for you. Everything you could possibly want to know, plus some, is at this site.

- Blessings in Disguise- Written by an articulate first mom who placed her infant daughter in an open adoption in Fall 2010. I love her voice.
- A Birth Mother Voice- So often the first mothers who choose to blog regret their choice. While sad for the circumstances that resulted in placing her children, this blogger sees it as the best decision for all.
- A Birth Mother's Love- This blog is written by a first mom who placed her son in 2004 when she was 18. She doesn’t post often, but her posts are full of insight. She is now a social worker and counselor. She describes the adoption as semi-open. She has a section on her blog titled "Ask a Birth Mother."
- Amstel Life- Birth mother in an open adoption who has a great relationship with the adoptive family.
- Birth Mother Baskets- This blog is written by a first mom who placed 11 years ago and is now happily married and the mother of three more kids. She started a nonprofit called Birthmother Baskets to give a basket of goodies and love to new moms who’ve placed their child for adoption.
- Birth Mother/ First Mother Forum- Written by a fascinating insightful woman. A place where first/birth/natural/real mothers share news and opinions. And vent.
- Birthmother's Love- First mom who placed her child in an open adoption that seems to be working well.
- From Another Mother- Story of an adopted birth mom.
- Monika's Musings- I especially like this blog by first mom Monika. Although she has a positive relationship with her daughter and her adoptive parents and is not “anti-adoption”, she takes a very clear-eyed approach to the strength and weaknesses of adoption as we practice it.
- Musings of the Lame- Written by a first mom who is in reunion with her 20 something son. I have linked to her posts about her search and reunion with her son. I think she raises some interesting points that adoptive parents need to hear.
- Not Quite Juno- Wow, this is one great blog. She placed her daughter in 2008 in a closed adoption, which she would now like to open. Her story is a bit different. She was and is married to the child's father and has 3 other children. They were in dire financial straights at the time.
- O Momma Writes- First mom to a school aged daughter and parenting a second child born a few years after the adoption. In a positive open adoption relationship.
- The Six Year Itch- This popular mommy blogger writes about many topics including placing her daughter for adoption. She’s a terrific writer and her voice shines. She placed her daughter 16 years ago, so you can see the thoughts of someone who has been on this road for a while.
- Writing My Wrongs- Written by Suz, a First Mom who placed her child in 1986. I like this lady. She's someone I'd enjoy talking with over a cup of cofee or glass of wine. She's angry about her decision to adopt; she feels betrayed by any number of people, and she writes about it well.

- Baby Darling: Thoughts of a Birth Father- Birth father blog with posts from the pregnancy and shortly after placement. Although he no longer posts, he captures his experience surrounding the birth and placement beautifully.
- Birth-fathers Recognized- Seems to be a beginning effort to create a place for birth fathers to share. Not very active now.
- Murphy’s Law- Blog started by a man in his 30s when he found out he has a son that was placed for adoption when he was younger. Interesting perspective that we seldom hear about.
- Northern Lights- Blog by man, now married and the father of 3, who is in reunion with his young adult daughter that he placed for adoption when he was 19. He doesn’t blog about adoption all the time, but when he does, he offers a unique perspective on how reunion affects the whole family..
- Statistically Impossible- Birthfather blog. Thoughtful. Provocative. I love it.
