Costs Associated with Embryo Donation/Adoption:

  • Expenses associated with Embryo Adoption range from $6,000 - $17,000 (costs vary by agency, state, and clinic).  The total expenses should average about one-third the cost of a standard in vitro fertilization cycle.
  • The Embryo Adoption Awareness Center has a great FAQ section on Embryo Donation/Adoption, including associated expenses for adopting parents and expenses and legal requirements for donating parents.

  • Babycenter.com has a very active forum talking about embryo donation.
  • Bethany Christian Services sponsors two active forums on embryo donation/adoption. One is at their traditional adoption site and the other at their embryo adoption site.
  • Hannah's Prayer Community Forums has a very active forum on embryo donation/ embryo adoption. These forums are for women only and you must be approved by an administrator before you can start posting.
  • Cafe Mom has a small group of moms through embryo donation
  • Child of My Heart This is not a very active forum.
  • Embie Donor Support for families who have donated embryos to others. It is a closed group, so you’ll need to send an email to the following to join. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
  • Stepping Stones: a Christian ministry offering support and information to couples facing infertility challenges or pregnancy loss.
  • Embryo Adoption Parents Facebook group. Not very active.
  • National Embryo Donation Center Facebook group. Active. Good resources.
  • The Many Faces of Embryo Adoption Facebook group. This page is to discuss & raise awareness about the many faces/aspects of embryo adoption.
